Pharmacists

Miss Claire Thomas (f)

Claire qualified in 2009 after studying at the University of Bradford. She completed her clinical dilploma whilst working at Hull Royal Infirmary.

In 2013 Claire moved to Lloyds pharmacy at Elliott Chappell Health Centre, gaining an insight into community pharmacy and attaining skills in minor illness, flu vaccination and emergency contraception advice.

Claire is now based within our practice, being an integral member of our clinical team. She is the first point of contact in regard to all patient queries over medications. Patients can get advice from her either by calling the practice, or presenting to reception and asking for her.

Claire works Monday-Friday 08:30-16:30.

In September 2016 Claire is embarking on a non-medical prescribing qualification through the University of Hull and will hopefully then be able to prescribe medications as well as provide advice and assistance with changes in medications. Until this time Claire directly liaises with our GPs so can ensure medication recommendations are carried out promptly.

Mrs Sacha Honour (f)

Sacha is a Pharmacy Technician who joined James Alexander Family Practice in 2019.  She has extensive knowledge and experience, having previously worked in Hospitals and a care home/rehab unit.

Sacha works with Claire Thomas (Clinical Pharmacist) and is able to support with medication queries.
